The rule: one exact recording, checked by a person#
Before a track appears, someone confirms:
- It’s the right artist. Many artists share similar names, so identity is checked first.
- It’s the right song. The YouTube video matches the released track.
- It’s the right version, or the app says when it might not be (see below).
- It plays on YouTube through a direct video link, not a search.
Only tracks that pass are published. Automatic matches and search results are never shown as tracks.
What the labels mean#
| You see | What it means |
|---|---|
| A track title and a YouTube button | A reviewed recording. Tap either to open it on YouTube. |
| Version may differ from the original release. | Right track, right artist, but the video may be a different edit or length than the original release. |
| No tracks added | On the lineup: the act is listed, but no track has passed review yet. |
| No tracks added for this artist. | In a B2B set: this artist doesn’t have a reviewed track yet, even if their partner does. |
About the artwork#
Pictures next to tracks are the YouTube thumbnails for those exact videos, loaded directly from YouTube. They aren’t artist portraits, and Listening Room never uses another artist’s image or makes one up. When there’s no reviewed video, or a thumbnail can’t load, you’ll see the artist’s initials instead.
Who has tracks today#
Right now, 12 reviewed tracks cover 8 artists, and 6 of the 130 lineup entries have at least one track. Every other act is still listed with their day. This list updates automatically whenever tracks are added, and With tracks on the lineup shows the same acts.

Why not more tracks?#
Checking recordings by hand is slower than grabbing the top search result, but it means every track you tap is the one you were promised. Coverage grows as tracks pass review; check back before the festival.
Want to suggest a track?Tell the person who shared Listening Room with you. Suggestions go through the same review before they appear.
The event playlist#
An event-wide playlist on YouTube Music is planned but not available yet. It won’t appear until it has been checked to play for everyone, not just the person who made it. Until then, the Tracks tab says “Not available” instead of showing a link that doesn’t work. The plan is for songs to rotate so every artist gets a spin before anyone repeats.
